Iphigenia in Kerameikos and beyond: " i would rather die of fire than of void"

The centre for the reception of Ancient Greek and Roman Drama in the UK is organizing a two day conference on the sacrifice of Iphigenia next year and its director contacted me as she wants to interview me about my Iphigenia project which she calls an 'innovative and valuable piece of theatre', very humbled and excited and looking so forward "whether it's dusk or dawn's first light the jasmine stays always white." (this Seferian verse was gifted to me following my Rhodes performances)

at the palace of the Grand Master and the Hospice of St. Catherine, two unspokenly unique sites in the medieval town, beautifully restored by the archeological inspectorate of Dodecanese.

I was blessed with two oneiric performing spaces and an amazing audience of around 150 people some of them actors, directors, film, ballet and visual artists. I am utterly humbled by their heartfelt, visibly moving reception of Iphigenia in memoriam and I am inundated with the generosity, the warmth and the multiply intelligent ways in which they perceived and embraced this new piece. I did experience hand-kissing χειροφίλημα. Humbled and honoured by all. I cannot thank them enough. I have lots of photos, reels and material, lots of them given to me as a gift.
